After we laid down the foundation for planting in the previous modules, you have sufficient knowledge and technical foundation to progress to the final stage of our planting journey: sequential planting.

This technique, rooted in classical guitar, offers a powerful boost to both speed and precision in your right hand. While not as widely used in fingerstyle circles, sequential planting equips you with the control you need to tackle faster passages with confidence.

While it might require some initial practice, the payoff is significant. We’ll break down the technique step by step, making it easy to learn. By the end, you’ll have a valuable skill that will elevate your fingerstyle technique and add a new level of sophistication to your music.

There are beautiful and exciting pieces that will help you integrate this technique into your skillset. Have fun!

Rhythmic workouts are the secret weapon for unlocking right-hand speed on guitar. By practicing specific patterns with a metronome, you train your hand to move efficiently and precisely at faster tempos. This not only improves your picking speed but also strengthens your internal sense of rhythm, making your playing tighter and more groove-oriented.

This essential technique involves moving your fingers in opposite directions simultaneously.

This movement is often overlooked, yet it is constantly needed for chord exchanges and playing multiple voices. By focusing on this aspect of left-hand movement, you unlock natural fluidity and flexibility in the left hand.

Think of it like a tiny engine – as you practice this movement, your fingers become more coordinated and independent.

The fretting technique, also known as barre, is something that guitarists often discuss with a mix of pain and frustration. Now, it’s finally within your grasp! Don’t let the rumors fool you – with the right approach, barre chords become a powerful tool, not a finger-tiring struggle.

This guide provides a clear roadmap to build a solid barre foundation. With dedicated practice, you’ll be amazed at how quickly your skills develop. Get ready to conquer barre chords and elevate your guitar skills!

This is your first barre workout, consisting of two exercises designed to build a perfect foundation for this technique. Not only will your hand grow stronger in a short period of time and adapt to this technique, but you will also refine your form and precision, saving energy and making the technique easier for you.

I recommend choosing only one of these exercises for each practice session. If you feel your hand becoming exhausted, tired, or experiencing even a slight discomfort (especially during the 1st workout), STOP IMMEDIATELY and resume next time you practice. Just 1-2 minutes of regular, focused practice can significantly improve your fretting technique.

There is also new music  in this chapter. Don’t forget to check it :)
